The Group Evil Trouser Monkeys had their gig scheduled for Torrevieja on June 8 cancelled after police notification to management at Bar Carlos.
“After a fab debut gig at Bar Carlos Torrevieja, we were booked to return on June 8, and every other Tuesday thereafter,” said group member Perren Armstrong.
“The gig was cancelled, due to a complaint that music was too loud and Policia informed management that no music could therefore take place,” said Perren.

Racing San Miguel head coach Dani Pereź Williscroft has spoken to The Leader amid accusations by Callosa Deportivo the club fielded an illegal player in Paco Lopez against UD Aspense in the Valencia 1st Regional G10 relegation play-offs.
“We are concentrating on the job in hand to finalise enough points to spend another year in the league,” said Dani, speaking after the draw against CD Dolores on June 13, that achieved that goal.

Bathers on Levante beach in Benidorm were taken by surprise when observing the Maritime Rescue helicopter emergency services in practice.
Members of Salvamento Marítimo in the Valencian Community have been carrying out practise periodically, including at the Portosenso marina in Altea.
The practices carried out by the helicopter Helimer de Salvamento Maritimo was in collaboration of the Salvamento de Benidorm RA boat along with the support of a Civil Guard patrol boat.
The Helicopter rescue of the crew, or the evacuation of one of its members, is a risky manoeuvre with Maritime Rescue professionals using advanced technology during weekly exercise operations (Hi-Line), during day and night time.

Scotland head coach Steve Clarke who spent 10 days at Pinatar Arena with his squad talks about Euro 2020 and Auld Enemy England.
“MY two boys are English. My grandchildren are English. I understand the rivalry, I enjoy the rivalry, don’t get me wrong,” said Clarke.
“It’s nice to be part of a historic fixture,” said Clarke, pitched against England in the Euro 2020 qualifying Group D, along with Croatia and the Czech Republic.
